Instagram’s secret to increasing subscribers

I've never seen so many people in the cultural center's Michigan Ave galleries

You have to subscribe to a user in order to see their archives on Instagram. Is it a good thing?

When viewing a photo on instagr.am, there is no link to click to view all the photos by that person. If you want to see more, you have to follow that person. But then that person’s photos just fall into the stream of ALL the people you follow. If you have someone who posts a ton in your friends list, that makes it difficult to see the archive of the new person’s photos. Not a very good usability thing. But in theory, as a photographer, you might get more subscribers.

Instagram forces you to subscribe.
